Excel, Access, and Data File Help

Help for connecting Belltech Publisher and Label Maker projects to Excel, Access, CSV, tab-delimited, and related data files.

Use a SQL statement in the data-source window to join sheets by a shared ID column. For example: SELECT [SheetName$].Name, [SheetAddress$].Address FROM [SheetName$], [SheetAddress$] WHERE [SheetName$].ID=[SheetAddress$].ID.

Use File > Database Settings, choose the data file, then use Insert > Text From Database. Click the inserted text field and choose the desired column, such as Name, Address, or City, from the properties dropdown.

After placing database text fields, go to File > Print Preview. Check that each field is pulling the correct column before printing the labels or badges.

Excel and CSV are usually easiest for address labels and name badges. Access can be useful for larger or more structured customer lists.
